1. confluence Fellows Selected

confluence announces its first group of haiku poet Fellows

Thank you to everyone who has joined our new community. And thank you to all the poets who submitted for trusting us with your work. We have completed selections for our first Fellowship year, and are happy to announce that the following poets have been chosen as Fellows:

  • Carissa Coane - Los Angeles, California
  • Nicky Gutierrez - Akron, Ohio
  • Rowan Beckett Minor - Cleveland, Ohio
  • David Green - Chicago, Illinois
  • Lorraine A Padden - San Diego, California
  • Daniel Shank Cruz - Jersey City, New Jersey
  • Vandana Parashar - Panchkula, India

confluence is all about fostering community and discussion. Over the next year, Fellows will comment on one another’s work, starting the conversation. We welcome all of you to join in the conversation as well, which you can do by commenting publicly on each issue. Just hit the comment button below and let us know what you think. Feel free to offer a word of congratulations to the selected Fellows or tell us what you’re looking forward to most in being part of the confluence community. You can also visit the webpage for each issue to browse and reply to others’ comments.

Since confluence is so new, we would greatly appreciate you spreading the word to anyone who you think might be interested. You can invite them to subscribe to the journal for free at confluencehaiku.com.

Our first issue drops in late September, so get excited and stay tuned!
